Sharp's Brewery

Most drinkers in the south of England will be familiar with Sharp’s Doom Bar. Founded in 1994, the family-owned business based in Rock, Cornwall. With 8 full-time staff members and regular business throughout Cornwall, the challenge was how to progress from there.

Nick Baker purchased the business from Bill Sharp in late 2003, recognising the opportunity to grow the business and fulfil its potential. Nick created a team that put the Cornish brewery firmly on the map, and with sales of £25m in 2011, sold the business for £22m to brewery giant Molson Coors.

Doom Bar is now the highest selling real ale in the world (by volume).
